Three materials, three places, three stories that give voice to:
Silicon Valley and silicon,
South Korea and concrete,
and Northern Vietnam and rice.
Over the course of six months, I explored these worlds through direct experience: designing a VR headset in California, creating a temporary public space in Seoul, and harvesting rice in Northern Vietnam.

Among other things, I write about the obsession with customizing Yamaha XMAX scooters in South Korea, a conversation about G3 curves with the designer of the iMac, cooking fluorescent green rice beside a blood-red lake, pitching an idea to a German princess managing a venture capital fund, and drawing parallels between the skin of the Haenyeo women divers and the suseok stones of Jeju Island.
